About project
In the dynamic world of construction, a remarkable transformation unfolded in the year 2020. Tau Pele Construction, a visionary company, set out to reimagine their office space. This is where Furniture Fair stepped in, entrusted with the mission of elevating the ordinary to the extraordinary.
Tau Pele's new office was a blank canvas awaiting a splash of creativity. An office redo was on the cards, and Furniture Fair was eager to bring life to this space. The goal was clear - create an interior that radiates uniformity and timelessness, without unnecessary frills.
Anelda and Helé, the dynamic duo at the helm of the project, took inspiration from Tau Pele’s vision. Minimalistic sleekness was the order of the day – no fuss, just sleek lines and elegant simplicity. Furniture Fair’s longstanding relationship with the client proved invaluable. Their design proposal aligned seamlessly with Tau Pele’s desires, saving time and ensuring the perfect execution of their vision.
Every project faces its own set of challenges. In this case, the challenge was to create an office space that exuded warmth without compromising on the modern aesthetic. The solution lay in the color scheme and material choices – a palette of black, grey, and natural wood-look flooring. The result? An environment that felt inviting yet professional.
The key design elements revolved around achieving a clean, decluttered office space that didn’t feel cold or austere. But it wasn’t just about desks and chairs. Furniture Fair introduced standout pieces like the distinctive “fish net” lights in the boardroom and bespoke wall art that added a personal touch.
The challenge of maintaining functionality while upholding aesthetics was tackled with finesse. Furniture Fair’s Evolution range played a starring role in achieving this balance. From desks to boardroom tables, the same finish was maintained, and slatted detailing was added for a touch of warmth. Chairs in varying designs, yet a consistent color palette, graced the boardrooms.
Custom-made elements injected character into the design. The canteen and the grand boardroom’s cabinets, as well as the server in the smaller boardroom, were tailored to perfection, adding an unmistakable sense of identity to the space.
In the age of technology, smart features can’t be overlooked. Furniture Fair integrated power docks into the boardroom tables, effortlessly marrying modern convenience with classic design.
Collaboration was the cornerstone of this project. Architects from Smith Architects had a hand in the building’s design, while Tau Pele took charge of construction. This collective effort ensured a harmonious outcome.
The completed project has drawn admiration from both the client and those fortunate enough to witness its transformation. The clean, cohesive design has struck a chord with everyone who steps through the doors.
The project’s ultimate lesson lies in understanding the client inside out. This project is a testament to the importance of truly knowing your client’s desires, leading to saved time and money.
As the curtains draw on this tale of reinvention, it’s evident that Furniture Fair’s collaboration with Tau Pele Construction has yielded remarkable results. The new head office stands as a monument to timeless minimalism, where form
