Designing with Purpose: A Bold, Youthful Space for Sol Plaatje University’s Agriculture Building
Sol Plaatje University has been a valued client of ours for several years, and when they approached us to help furnish their newly built Agriculture Building, we knew it was going to be something special.
The brief? Collaborate with a dynamic architect to help bring to life a state-of-the-art lab environment—something modern, inspiring, and unmistakably youthful. And we were all in.
Each floor of the building features its own signature colour: green, teal, and blue. These bold hues aren’t just for show—they echo Sol Plaatje University’s vibrant brand identity and reflect the youthful energy of the students they serve. The colours flow seamlessly throughout the space, creating a sense of cohesion that’s both eye-catching and purposeful.
From desking solutions for individual offices to sleek boardroom setups and inviting soft seating in public areas, every piece was chosen to enhance the function and feel of the space. The shapes and finishes of the furniture were carefully selected to match the modern design language of the building—clean lines, energetic tones, and practical layouts that promote collaboration and creativity.
This project was more than just a furniture installation—it was about creating an atmosphere that motivates, energises, and reflects the forward-thinking values of Sol Plaatje University.
