About project
In the bustling city of Bloemfontein, a transformation took place in 2020 that redefined the way an office can be. The spotlight was on Mazars, a company embracing the winds of change and rethinking traditional work environments. Furniture Fair stepped up to the plate to infuse modernity and functionality into the Mazars office located in the Olympus 101 Building.
The project encompassed various facets of the office, from the reception area to boardrooms, agile workspaces, and small consultation rooms. The aim was to blend the practical with the aesthetic, creating a dynamic work setting.
Mazars had a vision that resonated with the changing landscape of work. The rise of remote work and the need for flexibility prompted them to shift from assigned offices to an agile workspace, embracing the concept of hot desking. Modernity, timelessness, and functionality were the core elements they sought, ensuring their office was a reflection of their evolving work style.
Helé and Anelda, the creative minds at Furniture Fair, embraced the challenge of designing an office that aligned with Mazars’ goals. The approach was centered around minimalism, clean lines, and a clutter-free environment that catered to the new norm of agile workspaces.
The project wasn’t without its hurdles. The disruption caused by Covid-19 led to longer lead times and limited product availability. But Furniture Fair’s adaptable approach ensured that every obstacle was surmounted with finesse.
The color scheme and material choices played a crucial role in creating an inviting yet functional space. Durable Fibre Guard materials were used for soft seating areas, while the corporate colors – blue, maroon, and grey – were harmoniously integrated throughout the office.
The design was a balance between modern aesthetics and practicality. Clean lines, a minimalistic approach, and strategically placed booths within the open office were highlights that transformed the space into a contemporary work haven.
Uniqueness thrived in the details. Specially crafted custom desks adorned the open office area, allowing for individualized workspaces that embraced the concept of hot desking.
In the age of agility and technological integration, power docks were seamlessly integrated into the desks, boardroom tables, and booths, creating a workspace that aligned with the agile work trend.
While no external professionals were involved, the collaboration between Furniture Fair and Mazars was a testament to the power of creativity and adaptability.
The completed project earned its fair share of praise from those who witnessed its transformation. While specifics of the feedback aren’t disclosed, the reception was undoubtedly positive.
As the curtain falls on this transformative journey, Mazars’ office stands as a beacon of adaptability, embracing the essence of modern work dynamics. Furniture Fair’s involvement underscores the potential of design to reflect and shape the evolving world of work.
